Hi-
How would I check this particular part?
My mechanic suggested I change it, but I'm not sure it is broke-
Do not want to spend extra $ unless i have to-
1- How much are this part if it needs replaced?
2- where is a cheap source to find it at?
3- Does my car only have 1 or multiple of these?
(2000 Chevy Tracker 2.0 (J20) engine 4 door)
Thanks

I have the Check Engine Soon light on and a P0031 fault code which is a fault code for the bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor. I replaced the O2 sensor and still have the P0031 code. I understand that there is a fuse for the sensor. There are two fuse block on the 2002 XL7, one under the dash and one on the passenger side fender wall near the windshield. There are big block fuses there and one of them the one closest one to the windshield looks like it's burnt out. I tried to get it out but the plastic started to break up and I didn't want to totally destroy it for fear the car might not start. Does anyone know what that fuse is to and what value it is and is it to the O2 sensor. Where can I buy the fuse.

Ok IDK if this has ever been discussed but this is getting real old. So We have had this car for several years and at least yearly I have to replace the low beam headlights, both sides. Has anyone else had issues with the high consumption of headlights? And it is not like we do an abundance of night driving there is no water in the housing, and I'm not touching the glass. Getting old replacing the drivers side! Thanks in advance! BTW it is a 10 SE. And I am replacing with different grades of Sylvania bulbs without a difference in longevity.

Where would one order camshaft main cap bolts from?
In case of the question why; replaced the valve seals, in torqueing (89 inch/lbs), the second cap bolt on the first cap in the sequence, the bolt broke midway of the bolt. Fortunately, there was enough protruding from the block after removing the caps again, I was able to remove the lower half.
Since... I am wanting to replace all the cam cap bolts. Having problems finding a place to order them from. Can anyone provide some worthy help on where to find new bolts Thanks

I recently bought an automatic 2011 2.4L grand vitara with 80000km on it. On the test drive I never noticed how the transmission shifted. But when I got it home I notice when I'm cruising at 60kmh around town it has a rough down shift that vibrates everything from 4th to 3rd or (4th toque converter lockup to 4th) so I took it back to the Suzuki dealership in NewMarket and showed the mechanic the rough vibration and he noticed it and could make it do it. Long story short. They tell me nothing is wrong and it's normal. My question to anyone else. Is this normal? Does your GV have rough vibrating shifting? Please let me know or if I should take it to a different dealership for reassurance. It's still within Suzuki power train warranty.

Hi guys.
First of all, sorry 4 my english.
I have a Suzuki GV 2007 2.0 Gasoline.
I went to the gas station to change the engine oil and to wash my car. After that i put an additive on 60% of my tank filled.
The problem is that the next day i start feeling the car so heavy..lazy..the engine is so weak that i constatly have to use number 2 or even number 1 gear.
Yesterday it almost stop..I was going on a ride with 4 friends and after 30 minutes riding it started getting too weak...when i push on the gas it didnt responde. I had to stop the car. One hour later it worked better but still heavy, lazy, not responding as it should be.
Causes?:
Bad Addittive: Im pretty sure i used Gasoline Addittive
Addittive should be all used with full tank: Ive talked to the workers on the gas station and they said that even with 50% and sometimes less of the tank capacity filled they put all of the additive.
Water on the engine: The worker that washed my car said that he had a problem with the same car when he used water to wash the engine so this time he used just compress air and i believe him.
Does anyone had the same problem? Can u help me?
Thanks 4 your attention

Need a little help here! Long story. Daughter received the code and vehicle was missing. (on way home from college).
Verona has less than 94K Miles. I'm original owner.
Read the code and P0306 displayed - Cylinder 6 Misfire.
This is what we have done so far, and the problem still exists.
Replaced spark plug and test plug. $ 4.00 OK
Replaced ECM (used $125)
Removed fuel injector, cleaned and tested - OK
NOT sure where to go from here.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

My Side skirts are looking a tad worse for wear with paint chips and everything and I was wondering if someone could color the wheel flares, back bumper and side skirts in Black or Silver so I can see what it will look like before I go and ruin my XL-7..
I really do not wish to have them white as having bright white on a white car is going to look silly.. I intend on using peel coat so the results wont be permanent.. Its just I want to know what color I should get before I even start..

When I was testing the Tracker yesterday my battery was low. I connected my charger on the Battery to get power and made many tests... However my tester that goes directly from the battery+ to the starter coil got the same power...... My charger was on fast charge......
As there were no fuse between battery and coil could have I burned something ??

The spot on the engine where the a/c compressor bracket mounted to was chewed up by someone i wont mention trying to repair it, would seem to be hollow behind it.Is there anything i can repair this with or alternative method to mount this bracket? I would hate to junk the car for a bracket.

The air bag light came on. i got the codes read by a dealership, they said both pretensioners are showing "over resistance". It seems very unlikely that both failed at the same time and replacing them will cost $1800, so im looking for other causes, for which i need a wiring diagram.
05 build of 06-08 grand vitara 2L 5 door base model.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I made a drawer system for the GV. It has 2 drawers and a small subwoofer in the back. It measures 1m x 0.7m with the drawers being 500mm wide and 700mm deep, the rails can take 50kg each so 100kg per drawer. Its mostly made of shutter ply as it was both lighter and stronger than supawood. The drawers them selves are 1.2mm thick galvinised sheet metal. The drawers extend about 400mm out. This thing is not light, I guess about 40kg and akward to get into the GV...
On the floor:
I test fitted everything and made sure nothing interferes with each other
After some cut outs and sanding and painting and glueing down a non slip matt, it looked like this
What I think is unique here is that I don't have to open the drawer everytime to gain access to the stuff inside I can just lift the lid
I put it in the GV and started packing my stuff in there
I have 2 anchor points on the back side
And I added a rubber strap the side and put my bottle jack and fire extinguisher in there
So this is what it looks like in the back of my GV
It needs another coat of paint and some lacquer but I am very happy with it.

Hi y'all:
I'm new to this forum although I have read some of the discussions. Now I have a problem I would like advice about.
My 2001 Vitara auto door locks have developed a problem. The doors lock properly, but must be unlocked manually (both sides). I can hear no sound when attempting to open doors.
Any ideas? It doesn't seem likely that the actuators are shot because they do unlock. Where is the sensor located?
I would appreciate any help and/or advice,
Thanks,
ggg

Hello all, I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza with the check engine light either on or flashing now. I plugged in to the OBD 2 port and discovered a misfire on cylinder 4. I pulled plug 4 and noticed the plug was fouled. The other three were clean as they are all only a few months old. I have a rough idle upon starting after it sits for an extended period of time and after a couple minutes it will even out and seems to drive normally. I did throw a code for low voltage on the O2 sensor which I'm not sure if this is being thrown because it's bad, or if something upstream is throwing this code in error. I did also have my coolant disappear over time rather quickly. Ran a dry compression test on cylinder 4 and got a reading of 11 instead of the 9 3:1 ratio of compression. My guess is the head gasket is failing. Any ideas? If more information is needed, please ask and I will provide it. Thanks.

I have a P0031 fault code on my 2002 XL7 which is a bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor code. I installed a new O2 sensor on the drivers side by the catalytic assembly as shown in a forum photo. The universal senor I installed came with a different color wiring scheme but from what I have read the two same color wires are the heater. I have two black wires coming from the car but two white wires coming from the sensor so I attached the white to the black. I attached the white from the car to the grey of the sensor, thinking this was the ground, and the last wire from the car and the sensor I attached together. I checked the sensor fuses and they are OK. Problem is I still have a P0031 code and nothing has changed. Anyone have a suggestion.

My 4grip fuel tank is perforated near the wheel arch. Might a 1.3 tank fit? A new tank is horrendously expensive. Mine is a 2004 and I don't see a good reason why they might not all be interchangeable. Wider choice = better price.
