99 grand vitara electrical problem???
i just replaced the ignition wiring harness and now seems i cant get reds on the dash or fuel pump isnt kicking in? thinking i may have blew up the computer or immobilizer?

2004 Swift Stereo mounting kits?
I'm trying to fit an XO Vision XD103 but the mounting is wrong. I'm having troubles finding a kit that specifically mentions the 2004 suzuki swift. I can only find up to 2001 and then 2005-2010.

Paint job II
Well it's time for the paint job. I took some pics of the troubled areas. I will take more pictures of how it looks now after removing all the parts. Plans are for me to tow it to the shop for an estimate. A guy already quoted me $980 I feel thats high. Tomorrow Ill post the other pics. Thanks

Parts for our cars are getting harder to find. The dealerships have all stopped carrying nearly everything for them, and some things are nearly impossible to find. Luckily, I found a gold mine.
Universal Auto Sales and Salvage in Northeast Arkansas has hundreds of sidekicks and trackers. He estimates over 500 of them. The prices are very fair, and they do ship.
The owner, Kelly Smith, doesn't frequent the internet, and does most of the work at the shop himself these days, but tell him Richard from Riceland sent you, and he'll know you're coming from the forum.
Hopefully, I can swing him enough business to stay open for many more years to come.

Paint matching
I've got a replacement for the rear bumper insert that my Liana was missing when I bought it but its not the right colour, just wanted to know if anyone in Australia/Qld knew of a place where I can get the right shade of blue to paint it and to redo my rear spoiler as its faded from the sun. Engine revs when brakes applied
This morning when I went out to steal I mean get a Christmas tree I had a problem I can't figure out with my 1992 Carry pickup.
I started and ran fine, but when I apply the brakes, the engine revs to full throttle. I had to use the handbrake . At first I thought it may be vacuum related, but when I turned the heater fan on the engine reved to full again. This is with my foot off the throttle pedal.
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
I am planning to change my tires. Now, I have 235 65 17 cooper AT 3.
I want to change them with BF Goodrich 245 70 17.
Some people say that 245 70 17 tires are oversized, and they will not fit. And some people say that they fit easily without any cutting.
My car is 2007 5 door 2 Lt AT gasoline, and has 2" lift kit.
Can I use 245 70 17 mt tires without any problem?

gauges NOT working... bad ground?
Gauge lights work and dim.
Needle is all the way down
i do have power B+ to the tach
i tested the water temp (YELLOW/WHITE) wire, grounded it out, and nothing on the needle in the on/start position.
It did work before... i unplugged a few things to take the dash out to put in my roll cage and then this happened....

Is there a known weakness in Sidekick front seat ?
My two front back seats are broken.. One peace of metal that`s tying the seat to the back seat is broken on both seat ... For both seat, it`s the piece in the middle side of the Truck.....
I fixed it very temporary last summer but I was wondering if it`s common or if its just a badluck to have both seat broken.....
I thought to weld the broken piece of metal but I`ll take a closer look to see if it`s possible to just replace that part. I think I would take stronger metal...

2002 GV questions
Hello,
I have done some reading on this forum for awhile but have not posted. My daughter has a 02' GV 4x4 with the 2.5 V6, it has maybe 80,000 mile. It's been a good running little vehicle for her, until now. It's been running kinda weird lately, sometimes it runs just fine, but others it spits and sputters when accelerating and falls on its face, and dies at low idle. The SES light is on, so I borrowed a scanner. The code reader showed 2 codes - MAF or VAF A circuit low input P0102, the other one is - CAT efficiency below threshold bank 1 P0420.
I guess my question is, which one of these issues would be causing the current conditions? I have changed the fuel and air filters, and ran a can of sea foam in it. Neither one really seemed to help, not really sure where to go from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Anybody out there know
Sooooo I come across a early 89 sidekick (mfg 9/88) 1.3 carbed and drove it on the trailer with sounds of 1 burnt valve or broken rocker. clean AZ car for 500.00 Well Ive owned more samis than I can count but never a kick or track. My question is the manual trans in it does not look anything like a sammi but engine of course does. Is the bell housing on a 89 1.3l carbed the same bolt pattern as the samurai or diff. I have a Fresh 1.3 on a crate which came out of a sammi which I installed a 1.6 16v. When I installed the 1.6 of course I had to use a adapter kit so I hope you guys can see some of my getting old questions and things that make you go Hummmmm. Thanks for help as xmas is upon us and I just do not have time this week to dig into this.

2014 Swift Garmin Navigation
Hi Guys
I just brought a Swift with the Garmin navigation unit within the dash, has anyone else had the problem of not being able to register their device on www.garmin.com/suzuki website?
Mine keeps telling me the Suzuki device is not authorised and both Garmin Australia and Suzuki Australia have been not help.

2008 GV air conditioner cuts out at highway speed.
I own a 2008 GV, type JTD4AV fitted with a J24B petrol engine. It's stock standard without modifications and has just turned over 105000km.
For the past year the airconditioned has started cutting out when the outside air temperature reads above 29 degrees Celsius and I've been driving above 90 kph for about 15 minutes. If I keep driving it cuts in after about 30 minutes and keeps cooling for about 10 minutes then it cuts out again. If I stop and turn the engine off and back on it will cut out again within 15 minutes. Turning the A/C on and off has no effect neither does shutting down the climate control while driving. Once off the highway the A/C cuts in again below about 90 kph.
My car has been serviced per the manufacturer's service intervals and has never been involved in a collision. I'm getting no joy from my Suzuki service centre.
Has anyone come across this before? I was thinking it may be due to a fault in the outside ambient air temperature sensor, the cabin temperature sensor and the solar load sensor or a combination. Alternately a problem with the compressor may be likely.

2002 Suzuki Esteem back seat bushings.
Hi, I took my back seat out to make more room to put stuff in the car when I moved, when I did I noticed that the black bushings that snap into the pivot bracket for the back seat were brittle and breaking apart.
I have already talked to the Suzuki dealer and was told that these are a discontinuted item, and www . rockauto. com does not have them listed on their website, eBay didn't really come up with anything either, does anyone know where I can find these?
Considering that they cannot be found at -anywhere- my boss at work is going to let me use the lathe to make some.
