I just recently aquried a 1989 Suzuki side kick 4x4JXL the problem that I'm having is I don't have a owners manual.and no fuse pannel lid for the block inside the cab.there is a 20 amp fuse that the previous owner put tin foil on the fuse so it was basically touching each end.if I tak the fuse out the sidekick won't start just turn over.if I put the fuse in with no tin foil it just turns over .but it will run with the foil on the fuse.im trying to find out what this fuse goes to so I can fix it right.the other problem is it will idle up and when both cold and hot.it also knocks and pings on take off it only has 87,000 original miles on it.it spent mosof it's life being a dingy behind an R V.please help

hi guys. I have a 96 sidekick with auto tranny. I'm sure many of you have had this problem before. When is gear up to reverse, the car wont respond immediately. I'm gonna have to rev it up to like 2500 to 3000 revs before it engages. In the morning, its like it will take forever to reverse.
What would that mean ??
Thanks
Les

Good Morning,
I am having an issue with an audible clicking noise whilst running the A/C in my wife's 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. We took it in for the 75k service to the local Suzuki approved service center and was advised that the Compressor Clutch is seizing and they would need to replace the compressor, quoting me $1000 for the part + labor.
This seems a bit steep to me - I am no mechanical genius, but I have several friends that do all of their own work on their vehicles, but none with Suzuki experience, so they requested that I look for more information before they take a look at her. I was hoping for some tips and/or pointers from you excellent Gurus. I have the service manual downloaded from the sticky for the 2007 models and have been looking through it.
The noise: It seems to be originating from behind the center of the dash and is constant, so long as I have the A/C running. As soon as I turn the A/C off, the clicking ceases. I do not seem to be experiencing any issues with the A/C performance-wise at this juncture.
Thank you for any and all help you can provide... I'm trying to convince my wife that the GV is worth keeping - she's been freaking out about the vehicle's longevity and part availability ever since they pulled out of the US.

My 2008 GV has 110k miles on it, and I'm looking to replace both the shocks and struts. Not looking to add any height, but just want the best ride possible. Would welcome all inputs and suggestions. Also, should I replace springs as well?
Thanks,

So i have to fix the previous rig job someone did on the crankshaft in my 1993 Geo tracker. They welded the bolt to the space and the spacer partly to the sprocket. My question is how do I tell what motor I have. G16a b or kc.

For the past couple of weeks I have had power loss and it seems to be the same problem every time. It can be OK on day but rubbish the next. I have diagnosed the issue as:
P0108 - Powertrain (Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input)
P0106 - Powertrain (Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Reange/Performance Problem)
I have cleaned the MAP Sensor but it had oil on it?
I'm guessing this shouldn't be there?
(I am ordering a new MAP sensor soon)
Hope someone can help as it seems more than the MAP sensor

looking for some step by step guide to help me removing and unclog the rear windscreen washer on my 2003 ignis.
i hear the pump going and when i check the nozzle above the rear screen i can see partial water around it so im presuming the pipe or the housing around the baring where the water comes from is blocked. any help would be greatly appreciated
i can get a airline to use to blow any gunk or what ever is clogging it up
it did work when i bought the car but now its stopped the bottle has got anti freeze in it and the front washers work fine im also wondering is it a part of the MOT that the rear washer has to work ?
